Frequently asked questions.
Is the Ceremony and Reception at the same venue?
Yes! The ceremony and the reception are both held on the second floor of the Hampshire House venue. During cocktail hour, guests will enjoy a third-floor view in the manor style rooms while the reception space gets a makeover.
What time can I arrive?
Guests are encouraged to arrive between 5:00pm - 5:20pm to ensure a timely ceremony start. Once you’ve entered the Hampshire House lobby, there should be adequate signage recommending where to wait (if you’re wicked early) before taking your seat. While we do not expect any large Boston Events on this date, please keep in mind city traffic, formal attire, and less functional footwear may lead to a slower than average travel speeds.
Should I walk to the venue if my hotel is nearby?
Walking is always encouraged. The Wedding Party kindly asks that guests DO NOT walk through the Boston Public Garden at least 3 hours before the wedding, as they will be taking photos. If you are interested in a mid-day walk, keep reading FAQs for alternative Boston walking routes.
Where can I park?
The Hampshire House is a .25mi walk away from the Boston Common Garage, located between the Boston Commons and the Boston Public Garden, located at 0 Charles Street, Boston MA 02116. When walking to the venue, please avoid walking through the Boston Public Garden. The most direct streets are Beacon Street and Charles Street.
Will this be an Unplugged Ceremony?
Yes! We kindly ask that you put your phones away during our 30-minute Ceremony.
The photo you would take is great, but the photo of you taking a photo from behind isn’t. Our professional photographer and videographer thank you in advance.
What are the Wedding Party Colors to avoid?
The wedding party colors are dark green, please avoid all shades of medium to dark green. Stuck on what to wear? We have a “What to Wear” section on the website.
